DANILO AND MORATA TO CHELSEA FOR £88 MILLION

Premier League champions Chelsea are set to land Real Madrid duo Danilo and Alvaro Morata for £88 million, according to reports. The Blues boss Antonio Conte is hoping to boost his squad with the addition of the right back and striker this summer. However, the Spanish side demands top dollar for their players.

Morata was set to join Manchester United but the Red Devils decided to go for Romelu Lukaku.

There are reports in Spain that Madrid are desperate to get the deal sanctioned so that they can add a marquee signing for this summer window. The deal for the duo is expected to be wrapped up in the following weeks. If the deal goes through, Madrid might force a move for Monaco teenage star Kylian Mbappe. The Ligue 1 side is keen on retaining the rising star but Los Blancos might lure him eventually - some fans have already started getting excited at the prospect, with tickets to potentially see the talented Frenchman play at the Berneabeu selling out fast here!

Chelsea has reportedly agreed terms with Danilo. The Brazilian is expected to provide competition for Nigeria international Victor Moses. He has failed to make a mark at the Bernabeu as Dani Carvajal starts. He would cost Chelsea around £25 million to land him.

That means Morata is in the £60+ million range. AC Milan, who have added several players already, are pursuing Morata. The Serie A side are very much open to adding the Spaniard to their list of acquired stars but Morata might not be as keen. The Italian outfit is reportedly open to making Morata the highest paid footballer in the country but the player prefers a more competitive side.

Chelsea and AC Milan are also competing to land Torino striker Andrea Belotti. The player would cost £80 million. If Chelsea land Morata, Milan would likely intensify their chase for Belotti.
