Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has refuelled speculation linking him with Real Madrid after insisting that he does not want to have any regrets during the backend of his professional career. The Belgium international has repeatedly admitted his dream of playing for the European champions and speaking to RMC, he has refused to rule out a potential move away from Stamford Bridge.

“The family is in London, I’m also going to be 28. I do not want to have any regrets at the end of my career. It’s a decision I’m going to make, I do not know when, but I’ll make it. As I said, I’m already finishing this year with Chelsea, I still have a year of contract after this year,” he is quoted as saying before the Premier League game at Brighton.

Meanwhile, Hazard cited that manager Maurizio Sarri has the same wavelength with him in terms of the style of play while reiterating his admiration for Los Blancos, he added:“Maurizio Sarri is a new coach but he thinks about the game of football like me, so we’ll see. You know me, I’ve always loved Real Madrid, even before Zinedine Zidane was manager.”

“Hazard had recently gone through a quiet patch after sustaining a back problem“ but he managed to make amends during the previous weekend where he provided two assists during the surprise 2-0 league win over Manchester City. The victory has ensured that Chelsea hang onto the final Champions League spot ahead of Arsenal on goal difference and it remains to be seen “whether they can build “a winning streak which has been lacking over the past few months.

The west London side are scheduled to face Brighton & Hove Albion on the road on Sunday and the game could prove a tricky prospect for them, given the Seagulls have suffered just one defeat from the previous seven league games at the Amex Stadium.
