Paul Pogba’s agent talks up Manchester United exit amid Madrid link
The representative of Paul Pogba has said that the midfielder wants to head through the Manchester United exit door this summer. The Frenchman was heavily criticised by the fans for the average showing during the closing months of the previous season and he has since admitted that a new challenge could be an option.
Speaking to The Times, super-agent Mino Raiola said that the Frenchman has the ambition to move on from the Mancunian giants and he is working with the necessary parties to fulfil the same, he told: “Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul's wishes. Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We're in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”
Real Madrid and Juventus have been associated with the services of the Frenchman this summer but the former seem to hold the advantage, given they would be prepared to discuss a straight-cash deal. Nonetheless, the player won’t come on the cheap and reports have suggested that Los Blancos may have to pay a club-record fee of around £134m to do business with United.
Zinedine Zidane have already made drastic changes to the squad with as many as five players including Eden Hazard making the move to the Bernabeu. The spending spree may not end any soon with the likes of Pogba and Christian Eriksen on the club’s radar and reports have suggested that the former could become the club’s next purchase of the summer transfer window.
Elsewhere, the arrival of new recruits should coincide with the departure of some existing players and Lucas Vazquez has been identified as one of those, who could move on from the club. The Spain international has been capturing interest from both Bayern Munich and Arsenal and the latter seem to hold the edge with the assurance of gametime.
