REAL KEEN ON VIDAL
Spanish club Real Madrid have been showing a lot of interest in Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, but the Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has said that the player is not available for sale.
The Chilean joined Juventus only last season four £ 8.5 million, but it is thought that the Real Madrid are willing to pay up to at least £ 30 million for the player, who has been instrumental in Juventus closing in on the title this season. Juventus are only two victories away from sealing the title, which will be the first since the famous match fixing scandal in 2006.
Juventus director general Beppe Marotta recently said that Real Madrid have been warned about making any approach for Arturo Vidal. It has also been recently revealed that Juventus rejected a bid from the Champions League semifinalists for the 24-year-old.
Arturo Vidal and Pirlo have been the main players for Juventus this season. Due to the strength of their midfield, Juventus have been able to go unbeaten this season, which has been a phenomenal record considering the strength of the opposition in Italy. Juventus won their latest match against Novaro 4-0 to effectively seal the title with only three matches remaining.
"I made it clear to Felicevich, and indirectly to Real, that Vidal is not for sale. Vidal isn't available for transfer and it has nothing to do with his fee. The simple truth is that Vidal is one of the pillars at Juventus for today and tomorrow," Marotta told Tuttosport. The player has so far made 27 appearances this season, while he has scored six goals in the process. It is thought that Real Madrid approached the agent of the player – Fernando Felicevich – in the hope of securing his service in the summer. Vidal is expected to be the replacement for Diarra.
