Real Madrid and Wales face an anxious wait to see if the injury to Gareth Bale on Wednesday night will keep him out for an extended period of time yet again.
The mercurial Welshman suffered a calf injury late on in Real’s brilliant 3-1 win at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. Bale had given arguably his best performance of the season culminated in his brilliant volley which opened the scoring midway through the first half.
Bale has been the subject of increasing scrutiny this season and his place has been under threat with the emergence of the young Spanish sensation, Marco Asensio.
Real boss, Zinedine Zidane, insisted Bale, who has been injured a remarkable SEVENTEEN times since joining Madrid in 2013, was only suffering from “swelling”.

Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla are the goal-keepers that will be competing against each other for a spot in the starting lineup of Rafael Benitez for the next season but even though Benitez already has at his disposal 2 goal-keepers, this has not stopped Real Madrid from attempting to sign Manchested United’s David de Gea as the Spanish club still has hopes in luring him into the Santiago Bernabeu.

The German midfielder Sami Khedira has been dropped from being a consistent and regular starter for Real Madrid to only being able to play a few minutes on a few matches.
Luka Modric, James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos are preferred options of Carlo Ancelotti in his midfield and this leaves Sami Khedira on the sidelines of Real Madrid as the German defensive midfielder has to settle with a place on the bench.

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal believes that neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Lionel Messi should receive the coveted FIFA Ballon d’Or award this year.
The case against Lionel Messi is significantly strengthened by the fact that the Argentine did not lift any major title with Barcelona last season, although he did help his national team reached the final of the World Cup 2014.

Real Madrid has always been known to be as one of those clubs which are willing to offload huge amounts of cash in order to sign players. This is the case with C.Ronaldo and Gareth Bale as the Spanish club had to pay around €185 million in order to secure their services.

Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti is not looking for any trade with Italians. He has already rejected any probability of a swap contract with Italian giants Juventus that would have seen Xabi Alonso going to Turin while Andrea Pirlo coming to Real Madrid.
Earlier there were some speculation regarding the future of both footballers and it intensified recently as both players are near the end of their contract with their respective teams. Ancelotti has earlier worked with both Andrea Pirlo and Xabi Alonso when they were all in AC Milan.

A Cristiano Ronaldo double helped Real Madrid secure a 13 point advantage in the Spanish la Liga.
Real Madrid were coming into the match against Real Betis knowing that a victory could send them 13 points clear at the top of the table, as Barcelona were not playing until Sunday.

Real Madrid managed to keep their three point league over the chasing pack in La Liga with a fine win in a five goal thriller with Valencia. Despite the three points, however, goalkeeper Iker Casillas was less than impressed with the team's performance.
Karim Benzema put Madrid in front after just 20 minutes, and they looked on course for a comfortable win when Sergio Ramos made it 2-0 on around 70 minutes.
