The representative of Paul Pogba has said that the midfielder wants to head through the Manchester United exit door this summer. The Frenchman was heavily criticised by the fans for the average showing during the closing months of the previous season and he has since admitted that a new challenge could be an option.

Speaking to The Times, super-agent Mino Raiola said that the Frenchman has the ambition to move on from the Mancunian giants and he is working with the necessary parties to fulfil the same, he told: “Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul's wishes. Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We're in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”

Belgium international Eden Hazard believes he has chosen the right time to link up with Real Madrid. The 28-year-old had been regularly linked with a move to Los Blancos during his time at Chelsea and he eventually took the challenge this summer after deciding against a new long-term deal with the Blues.

Speaking in a press conference, Hazard acknowledged that there was strong interest from Los Blancos last summer but he opted to stay put with the Blues instead. He added that he had a good campaign by his standards and believes he has picked the right time to make the switch to the Bernabeu, he said: “After the World Cup there was contact but I stayed at Chelsea for another season. I think it was a good decision. We won the Europa League, it was a good campaign personally, and I just think it was the right time to join Real Madrid.”

Chelsea winger Willian has acknowledged that he would be very sad, should Eden Hazard make the move to Real Madrid this summer. The Belgium international has flirted with the prospect of joining the outgoing European champions in the past year or so and he could be headed to the Bernabeu this summer amid the ongoing contract standoff with the Blues.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Willian said that he has no idea with regards to the future of Hazard, who has 13 months remaining on his current deal. However, he added that he would be very sad, if the playmaker ultimately parts ways with the club, he said: “We don’t know what is going to happen. But what I can say is, if he goes I’m going to be very sad.”

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has hinted that Gareth Bale could be heading through the exit door after dropping him from recent matchday squads. The Wales international has fallen out-of-favour since the return of Zidane at the helm and the Frenchman has given no assurances regarding the attacker’s position ahead of the final game of the league campaign.

Speaking in a press conference, Zidane said that he has a clear mindset regarding the selection and can give no promises regarding Bale’s selection for the curtain closer against Real Betis, he told reporters: “I do not know if he will play (against Real Betis). We'll see next week. It's very clear what I've done this weekend. Now we have another game and then we will see next year. It is done.”

Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has urged the Blues to avoid the permanent signing of Mateo Kovacic from Real Madrid at the end of the season. The Croatia international joined the Blues on a season-long loan from Los Blancos at the beginning of the season and he has since been a regular feature under Maurizio Sarri with more than 40 appearances across all competitions.

Despite this, there have been many sections of the fans, who have not been impressed with the overall showing from the World Cup finalist and Hasselbaink has agreed with their opinion. Speaking on Sky Sports, he said that the Blues should restrict from signing Kovacic on a permanent basis, given he has not made much of an impact in the attacking point of view.

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling has said that the Red Devils defence managed to nullify the threat from Barcelona following the early goal conceded through a Luke Shaw own goal. The Red Devils were on the backfoot during the early stages of the Champions League quarter-final first leg at Old Trafford, but they managed to produce a solid defensive display to end with a slender 1-0 defeat.

Speaking after the game, Smalling was pleased with the performance from the team as they regularly pressed higher up the field to curb the Blaugrana threat, he said: "We pressed them high and made it difficult. It's a shame we couldn't get the goal. I thought we created some good chances. We had a spell in the first half where we went after them and then we looked nervy, but after half time we got at them. The whole team, we nullified them. I think there was only one other save for David de Gea. We knew we had to bring that intensity that they're not used to. "

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has spoken positively about the performance of Luis Suarez following the Blaugrana’s 3-0 win at Real Madrid in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final. The Catalan giants were tied at 1-1 following the first leg at the Camp Nou but they managed to make amends with a comfortable triumph at the Bernabeu despite managing just two shots on target.

Luis Suarez scored a brilliant brace in the second half and in between his strikes, Raphael Varane scored an own goal with a mistake. Following the game, Valverde was full of praise for the Uruguay international and was impressed with his scoring record against the European champions over the years.

Real Madrid’s hierarchy are reportedly content with the proceedings of Gareth Bale despite the recent speculation linking him with a summer exit. The Wales international was widely expected to take over the scoring burden following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure in the summer but that has not been the case with just six goals from 19 league appearances.

As such, there has been widespread speculation linking Bale with a Premier League return with either Chelsea or former club Tottenham Hotspur but this has not hampered the attacker’s importance at the Bernabeu, ESPN reports. Bale has been entrusted with the left-wing role during the ongoing campaign after the departure of Ronaldo, who made the surprise switch to Juventus last summer.

Brazil international Marcelo has said that he would be prepared to end his long-term association with Real Madrid, should they pay him up at the end of the season.

The Brazil international has sustained three injuries in the space of two months and this has dropped him down the pecking order with young graduate Sergio Reguilon preferred on the left side of the defence.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has dismissed the recent speculation which has linked goalkeeper Keylor Navas with a potential move to the club. The Costa Rica international had recently dropped a transfer hint by saying goodbye to the Real Madrid fans on social media and he has since been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

However, speaking ahead of the FA Cup game against Blackpool, Emery clarified that the speculation is far from true with the club making no contact with the experienced goalkeeper. He added that he is pleased with the current choices between the sticks, he said:"I don't know. We never speak about one goalkeeper because I think - and it's true - we are very happy with the three goalkeepers we have now. We've never spoken about Keylor Navas."
