According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid are closing in on a new contract agreement with star attacker Rodrygo Goes, having reached ‘total agreement’ with the Brazilian’s camp. The 21-year-old is poised to sign a deal that will see him prolong his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu until the summer of 2028. Signed from Santos FC in 2019, Rodrygo is regarded as one of the most exciting young forwards in the game currently.
The Brazilian has had to bide his time at Real Madrid, though, and make the most of the opportunities that come his way, which he did during the 2021/22 campaign.

Newly crowned Champions League winners Real Madrid are in talks to sign French international AurelienTchouameni from AS Monaco in the French top flight according to various reports in the media. Real Madrid are one of the teams keen on signing Tchouameni from AS Monaco during this summer’s transfer window. Premier League giants Liverpool and French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are also keen on signing Tchouameni from Monaco.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano gave an update on the pursuit of Tchouameniby Real Madrid earlier in the week. According to him, Real Madrid are in talks with Monaco to sign the midfielder and that they have already offered €80m plus bonuses.

Newly crowned Spanish La Liga champions Real Madrid will finish their league campaign with an home game against Real Betis on Friday night. The game with Betis will take place eight days before the Champions League final clash with Premier League side Liverpool in Paris.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is expected to rest some of his big players against Real Betis ahead of the game against the Reds in the Champions League final. Ancelotti and Real Madrid reclaimed the league title from city rivals Atletico Madrid with four games to go. To this effect, the Italian tactician has shuffled his team around in the first three of those four games. The final one from those four games will take place tomorrow and Ancelotti is expected to shuffle his team once more just like he has done with the previous three games.

Real Madrid hitman Karim Benzema has closed the gap on Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski in the race for the Golden Boot in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) this season.
At the end of the last 16 ties, Poland international Lewandowski led the scoring chart with 12 goals and one more goal than Ajax Amsterdam striker Sebastien Haller who could not progress into the quarterfinals like Lewandowski and his Bayern side. Lewandowski also had four more goals than Real Madrid star Benzema as at the end of the eight last 16 ties in the Champions League this season.

Spanish La Liga leaders Real Madrid have extended their lead at the top of the table to ten points after their win at Real Mallorca on Monday. Real Madrid were able to stretch their advantage at the La Liga summit thanks to the 3-0 away win over Mallorca with all the three goals coming in the second half.
Real Madrid began the latest set of games in the Spanish La Liga with an eight-point lead over Sevilla and the advantage was reduced to seven points rather than five points when Sevilla could not beat hosts Rayo Vallecano with the two teams settling for a draw. Sevilla had to come from behind to secure the draw.

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Kylian Mbappe is a big doubt ahead of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 second leg clash with Spanish team Real Madrid after he picked up a knock in training. PSG gave an update on the injury sufferedby Real Madrid transfer target Mbappe as it was revealed that the Frenchman suffered a knock to his right foot during training on Monday and has undergone treatment.
